How Jake Gyllenhaal and Taylor Swift Met

Jake Gyllenhaal and Taylor Swift are becoming Hollywood’s most-watched new it-couple and fans have been wondering how the stars made their initial love connection.

The couple- whose 5-week romance has taken them across the world from Big Sur, Nashville, New York, and London- met through their respective teams.

In October, the actor asked his handlers to introduce him to Swift, according to the new issue of UsWeekly.

After a nearly three-year romance with Reese Witherspoon which ended about a year ago, Gyllenhaal was attracted to the low-key, no-fuss dating situation 20-year old Swift offered. “Jake likes that Taylor is sweet, low-key and very easy to be around,” a source told the magazine. “Besides, he likes blondes, he thinks she’s pretty and he has a thing for Southern girls.”

Also, he is reveling in the attention: “Taylor dotes on Jake. She’s love-struck and he loves the attention.”

After spending the Thanksgiving holidays with his family in Brooklyn and her family in Nashville, the two will find themselves both in London later this month on separate press tours.
