The Jessica Simpson John Mayer Feud may finally be over, thanks to Oprah.
The 29 year old star of VH1’s new reality show The Price of Beauty says John’s Playboy interview “made me so sad,” RadarOnline.com has confirmed.
In the article, John compared sex with Jessica to crack cocaine. The couple dated on and off for two years.
On Wednesday’s The Oprah Winfrey Show, Jessica says “I tried to read the article, and I was so disappointed in him. It made me so sad, and it was really discouraging because that’s not the John that I knew.” When Oprah asked, “Do you feel betrayed,” the singer said, “Absolutely, I felt betrayed. I hope he gets his life together.”
And, yes, she says, she was “a little angry” about John’s indiscretions. “I don’t want people to know how I am in bed,” she tells Oprah.
But then she joked “I guess it could have been a lot worse, my phone is ringing off the hook!”
John made a public apology and Jessica confirms that he reached out to her personally. “He did apologize,” she says. “I don’t accept it. It’s just one of those things. I don’t resent him. I’m just going to let that go. That part of my life is over.”
And now Jessica is ready to move on to her new show The Price of Beauty that premieres on VH1 March 13th. The reality series follows her around the globe as she shows what lengths women will take to look beautiful.
And for someone who has been criticized by the press for gaining weight and wearing “mom jeans,” she says she “loves my curves,” and is happy with her size. “I’ll never be a size 0,” she says proudly.
