Prince’s photos are part of the largest-ever collection (Michael H. Epstein and Scott E. Schwimer Collection) of glamour photography up for auction by Profiles in History March 26 and March 27.

In 2005, Penelope was dating Tom Cruise. She was on top of the world. InStyle magazine commissioned Len to do a photo shoot in Paris with her. He says “it was one of the most romantic shoots, I’ve ever been on.”

But the magazine wanted Len to do the shoot in a hotel conference room, not outside showing one of the most picturesque cities in the world. “That’s a shot you could get anywhere,” he said.

After the shoot, “Penelope looked at me and said ‘I’ve seen your work before, and you’ve come all the way to Paris. Don’t you want to do something more thought provoking?’”

She then said, “I just happened to pick this perfect spot on the roof with the Eiffel tower in the background.” It happened to be a spot right above her penthouse.

He says “It was a dream comes true for me to have someone that wasn’t narcissistic or needy. She was a real artist. She gave me great images.”
