Conan O’Brien announced on Twitter Thursday that he will be embarking on a 30-city tour.
“Hey Internet: I’m headed to your town on a half-assed comedy & music tour,” he Tweeted. He then directed fans to the tour’s Web site, TeamCoco.com. “I repeat: It’s half-assed.”
Conan’s tour begins April 12 in Eugene, Oregon, and loops through the county. He’ll be within spitting distance of his short-lived Tonight Show digs when he hits the Gibson Amphitheater in Universal City on April 24. According to a website for the tour, it is dubbed “The Legally Prohibited From Being Funny On Television Tour.”
Twitter nation has clearly caught a case of the “I’m with Coco” fever. In less than a month, he has racked up 625,000 followers. Jay Leno’s Twitter page has 36,000.
