Several factors contributed to the shocking death of actress Brittany Murphy, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner’s office, RadarOnline.com has learned.
The Coroner’s office released a statement Thursday morning stating that Murphy suffered from pneumonia, but also had iron deficiency anemia, and multiple drug intoxication.
The statement also calls manner of death an “accident”.
As RadarOnline.com reported exclusively last week, the mystery surrounding the young starlet’s death would be solved this week – and it practically has.
The one piece of the puzzle still missing is the release of the full autopsy report, which will tell us exactly what drugs Murphy was taking. Ed Winter, assistant chief coroner of Los Angeles county, said that the drug’s in Murphy’s system were all prescription or over-the-counter. No illegal drugs were found.

The drugs in her system, plus pneumonia and anemia became a deadly combination for the actress.
Murphy, 32, was found dead December 20 at her home in the Hollywood Hills, where she lived with her husband Simon Monjack.
As RadarOnline.com has previously reported, Monjack and Murphy’s mother Sharon have both said they believe she died of natural causes, and have denied that she suffered from an eating disorder or abused drugs.
Murphy was best known for films such as Clueless, Just Married, and 8 Mile.
