Miss California pageant executive director Keith Lewis isn’t taking Carrie Prejean’s accusations in her book lying down. A day after he told RadarOnline.com exclusively that he is considering legal action over her claims, Lewis slams the former beauty queen for being “opportunistic.”
“Carrie’s fanciful memory is little more than her trying to propagate her opportunistic agenda,” Lewis told RadarOnline.com about Prejean’s autobiography Still Standing.
“I work in pageants and I love a good fairy tale like anyone else. Unfortunately this is not one. This one doesn’t have a message,” Lewis told RadarOnline.com on Tuesday. “Carrie’s claims about me in her book are absolutely false, categorically incorrect, derogatory and untrue. She uniformly disparages me. I though this was over, but the fight isn’t finished. By printing her lies I am considering whether to take legal action against her defamatory remarks.”
On November 3, Prejean and the pageant reached a settlement which many saw as the two sides reaching a truce.
But clearly Prejean’s book is stirring up past resentments. Her book delivers some explosive accusations about the Miss California pageant and Lewis- including the claim that he pressured her into getting a boob job.
