Fantastic Four star Ioan Gruffudd and his actress wife Alice Evans have debuted their new baby in Los Angeles.
Standing on the doorstep of their home, they introduced five-week-old baby Ella Betsi Evans Gruffudd to the world – she was born on September 6, weighing in at 6 lbs. and 3 oz. and at 21 inches long.
Gruffudd, who played Reed Richards in the Fantastic Four, and Lost actress Evans, 38, knew the sex of their first child before she was born.
The couple – who met while filming 2000’s 102 Dalmatians before marrying in 2007, announced that they were expecting in April.
As they peeked outside their home they seemed like the perfect doting parents as they took turns to cuddle and kiss Ella who sucked on a dummy totally oblivious.
The Welsh star – who last played ex-British Prime Minister Tony Blair in W – admitted that when his English wife was pregnant his role changed all the time.
He said: “You go from being lover to husband, lackey, taxi driver – you just have so many caps on. Listen, it’s a blessing that I am here, at home and not working, being able to be there for her.
Still it’s been tough – I’m sure we have no idea what we are heading into – but we both love each other so much and really hope that we will create an environment of love and happiness.”
