Maksim Chmerkovskiy, returning to Monday's Dancing With The Stars to stand in for an ailing Derek Hough, seems to have buried the hatchet with Aaron Carter.

Both men, after a war of words in the press the past week, gave RadarOnline.com's Tina Malave their feelings on one another, and it seems they are at peace... for now.

"I would love to be nice to everybody, and especially to Max but he wont talk to me and he won't say anything to me... so what can I do," Carter said. "I haven't done anything wrong, there should be no reason for that, you know?"

Carter said that he respected Chmerkovskiy, and was willing to give him his space.

"Please don't think anything negative and I wouldn't do anything to to anyone," he said. "I'm a good guy, Max is a good guy too."

Chmerkovskiy was a man of far less words when Malave asked him about the drama.

"There's no drama," he said. "Everybody's enjoying themselves, its all good."

Chmerkovskiy responded, saying Carter was "full of himself," to Fancast.

"He has no clue what he is talking about. We have had people full of confidence before, but with Aaron, he’s confident that everybody out there already proclaims him the best on the show," Chmerkovskiy said, adding he doubted Carter would crack the top three finalists on the hit ABC show.
