Aug. 5 2009, Published 3:01 p.m. ET
Britney Spears former paparazzo boyfriend Adnan Ghalib was back in a Los Angeles court Wednesday to answer charges that he ran over a process server with his Mercedes.
Ghalib, 36, is charged with assault with a deadly weapon, hit and run and battery following the February 11 incident near his Los Angeles home.
The process server, Ram Moskowitz, was trying to serve Ghalib with a restraining order to stay away from the pop star. To avoid being pinned against a trash truck the victim jumped on the hood before falling off and breaking his wrist. The District Attorney alleges that Ghalib sped-off without stopping.
