Guardianship Hearing For Michael Jackson Children Delayed; Settlement In Works
Jul. 10 2009, Published 9:18 a.m. ET
A guardianship hearing pertaining to Michael Jackson's three children was delayed from July 13 to July 20.
The delay keeps Michael's mom Katherine with temporary guardianship of the children. Debbie Rowe, who says she is the biological mother of two of Michael’s children, at one point said she wanted custody although her lawyers later backed off that statement. No reason was given for the hearing delay.

It appears a settlement may be in the works. Londell McMillan, the Jacksons lawyer, released this statement: "We are pleased that the child custody hearing has been continued over until July 20th to further our progress and allow us to privately and amicably resolve this most important matter in a dignified manner for the benefit of the children first and all involved."
A conference call regarding the matter will be held July 17.
