Hoping to prove he can play more than a brooding teenager, Robert Pattinson recently stepped into the role as Spanish artist Salvador Dali. In the film Little Ashes, he delves into the artist’s life including donning a mustache, working a Spanish accent, and being in love with a man.
The film, an indie drama, stretches Pattinson’s acting chops and will test the strength of his fan base. Set in 1922, the plot centers on the awakening of the renowned artists dating back to his university days in Madrid. Little Ashes is set to be released May 8.
