Candy Spelling has taken to her official website to address sentiments expressed in her daughter Tori’s upcoming book, specifically that Tori “loves” her mother, but hasn’t reached out to save their relationship.
“I’m stepping up. Call me, write me, text me,” Candy pleads.
“I’m a mother who, like every mother, wants communication and a great relationship with you, my daughter, and your family.”
Tori, on the cusp of releasing the pseudo-autobiographical tome Mommywood tomorrow, told People magazine that she and Candy never really got along.
"I love my mother. I've always loved her and no doubt she loves me. There's no feud. We simply never meshed,” Spelling said.
The sentiments are nothing new to Candy, who says she’s been receiving excepts of the book via fax.
“My fax machine was burning up over the weekend…You write that you don’t want to feel like you kept me apart from your children…I don’t want a reunion via talk show or to speak through the press. I want a relationship with you and my grandchildren. I am hopeful.”
