The mediocre debut of Duplicity -- the latest Julia Roberts offering, which fizzled with a third-place, $14 million opening -- has left some second-guessing the shine on the 41-year-old actresses' star.
Roger Friedman, of FOX NEWS, asked: "Is she still a box office draw? Was she ever? The total of $14.4 million for "Duplicity" for an actress who commands $15 million a picture is a scary new fact of life.

Roberts drawing power, hurt by long stretches of inactivity and poor choice of projects, has knocked her back a few pegs on the Hollywood food chain, Friedman said.
"With the release of 'Duplicity,' Roberts is now in a period of re-evaluation," he wrote. "She takes her place in line behind Angelina Jolie, Reese Witherspoon, and yes, Jennifer Aniston, as America’s First Lady of the Movies." (Photo: Splash)
