(Photo: Splash Photo Agency) A-list star Robert De Niro will be the first guest on quirky late night host Jimmy Fallon's Late Night with Jimmy Fallon!

"I think in the case of Robert De Niro, he had a lot of talk show experience and he knows Jimmy well," new "Late Night" producer Michael Shoemaker told the "New York Post."

"Jimmy has done skits with De Niro on "Saturday Night Live" and I think De Niro knows Jimmy will take care of him."

And get this, Fallon's "Late Night" house band is Philadelphia-based R&B band The Roots!

Fallon's other debut week guests include former "SNL" cast mate Tina Fey, singer Jon Bon Jovi, actresses Cameron Diaz and Drew Barrymore, and actor Billy Crudup.

"Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" premieres March 2 on NBC.
