Swayze Mom Asks For Prayers

Patrick Swayze's mom is putting her faith in God she tells Star.
As her son continues his heroic and very public battle with pancreatic cancer, Patsy Swayze is resolved to stay as strong as her son.
In an exclusive interview in the February 9 issue, the 81 year-old woman assures readers, "Patrick is strong, and he's determined to beat this!" But, she adds, "Please tell everyone to keep us in their prayers. Pray for Patrick. I know he has a lot of fans out there thinking about him, and we all appreciate that."
Star also reports that the reason Patrick and his wife Lisa have just begun writing their joint memoir is because they are realizing that their time together may be short as his cancer has advanced to Stage IV.
"His confidence had always been contagious for Lisa," says the friend, "but the situation is really staring them in the face now."
