Editor found dead: The body of James Kim, the CNET editor who had been lost in the wilderness of Oregon with his family, has been found. His wife and two children were discovered earlier this week and are in recovery. Here's an obituary from his own site.

Writing back: A group of authors including Margaret Atwood, Kazuo Ishiguro, John Updike, Zadie Smith, Martin Amis, and Thomas Pynchon have released letters of support for Ian McEwan who was accused of plagiarism last month. Web searches determined every letter was cribbed from Wikipedia. Pynchon's letter, written on a typewriter, can be found here.
