On the Friday before Labor Day weekend, I, like many Americans, took a sudden and deep interest in the little known Republican governor from the state of Alaska. Being a denizen of the Internet, the first thing I did upon learning that she'd been chosen by John McCain as his running mate was to enter her name into the Google search tab in my web browser, and away I went on a seemingly endless journey into the digital record of one Sarah Louise Palin. In the course of this I plowed through too many mundane articles dealing with state and local issues Palin had been involved with during her time as a public servant, but I also encountered something I and many others have deemed rather odd circumstances surrounding the birth of her most recent child, Trig.
