GAL POWER Gadot
RadarOnline.com caught up with beautiful Miss Israel 2004 Gal Gadot and Israeli Ambassador Arye Mekel last night at the Maxim party at nightclub Marquee.
The mag's July "Women of the IDF" issue has already angered female members of Israel's Knesset (parliament), prompting some to term it a "pornographic" tourism campaign. Asked about this, Ambassador Mekel told RadarOnline.com he spoke to his predecessor, Knesset member Colette Avital, and "explained to her the nature of Maxim—it's not a, God forbid ... they don't have any nude pictures, etc. She was misled to some extent by some people. And I explained it to her and I think we are pretty much in agreement that it is a viable project."
As for Gadot, she is remaining in New York for some "meetings," which she didn't want to elaborate on—Mekel told us they're for her modeling career. The striking 22-year-old says she'll begin law school this October in Israel. Although she was wearing a red Kabbalah string bracelet, she said she doesn't go to the Kabbalah Center, "but there's something with the bracelet that I gotta stick with."
