Greenpeace: Apple Fell Far From Tree

NOT SO GREEN Greenpeace's fake Apple promo
Yesterday, Greenpeace released a survey that put computer trendsetter and "clean design" pioneers Apple at the bottom of a list of 14 "green" companies. Asked to elaborate on just what this means, Rick Hind, legislative director of the Greenpeace Toxics Campaign, said Apple's score of 2.7 out of 10 isn't just low, "it's almost dropping out."
The study grades companies based on their efforts to remove toxics and recycle electronic components. As Hind describes it, Apple's failure to remove toxics, coupled with non-competitive recycling programs, is "like sending Britney Spears to rehab with a bag of coke." Far fetched, but okay!
