Bloc Party Puts Madonna in Headlock

Bloc Party frontman Kele Okereke tells a tale from Live Earth that millions of viewers missed. It seems Madonna's a big fan of his band and came backstage for a visit. Bloc Party's bouncer, a big Scotsman with a limited pop-culture knowledge, didn't recognize her and jumped on her with fellow guards. "They had her head in a headlock, and they were putting her out of the dressing room," Okereke says. "It was really surreal, and everyone stopped speaking. And the only thing we could hear is Madonna cursing and saying she's gonna kill these guys." Chicago Tribune via Towleroad
