Scheming Prince Charles and his powerful backers in Britain's secret services planted listening devices in his son William's homes to dig up dirt that will prevent the young royal from becoming the next king!

After government officials uncovered Charles' plot to defy his mother, Queen Elizabeth, and seize the crown from her handpicked heir, security teams discovered the electronic bugs while sweeping the residences William shares with wife Kate — London's Kensington Palace and suburban Anmer Hall.

"The phones were tapped and the rooms were bugged," said a royal insider. "At first, a foreign government was suspected. But that was quickly discounted because only people with top security clearance can gain access to William and Kate's quarters."

The devices, claimed the source, "were traced to agents assigned to Charles and his wife, Camilla."

Investigators believe the bugs were planted as part of Charles' "Operation Orb," reportedly an evil coup attempt.

"Any dirty laundry gathered on William and Kate, both 34, would be leaked to media outlets," said the insider. "Charles used this tactic before to

discredit his first wife, Diana. He and his cronies hoped the scandals would force the queen to change her mind and anoint Charles as her heir."

"This shameful plot exposes Charles' desperation," continued the insider. "He's being pushed and goaded by Camilla, who is determined to be queen. I fear William and Kate are in very real danger! We all know what happened to Diana when she got in the way."
