Britney Spears has finally ended her nasty seven-year court battle against former manager Sam Lutfi and RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned that she has finally succeeded in banning him from her life! But according to insiders, it came at a great cost.

According to a source close to Spears, "He was awarded close to $100,000 to end this mess. And as part of the deal, he is to never have contact with her or her family again."

"Now that this case is finally settled, Britney can get back to her life," said the source. "She is so ready to leave the old one behind."

"This has been plaguing her so much lately and she absolutely hated every minute of it. Now it is done."

A rep for Spears did not immediately respond to RadarOnline.com's request for comment. But cutting her ties to Lutfi has been a long road.

As fans of the 36-year-old "Toxic" singer know, she suffered an epic meltdown in 2007. At the time, she was managed by Lutfi and the two allegedly had an oral business agreement, which was the basis of his lawsuit against her.

In 2009, Lutfi filed a defamation suit in the Superior Court of Calif., and a libel and battery suit against her parents, Jamie and Lynn Spears. Lutfi lost the suit and then filed an appeal.

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, however, the case was on a stand-still until recently when Spears and Lutfi went head-to-head in the latest depositions — filled with allegations of drug use and mental abuse.

A hearing was scheduled for September 15, but when the settlement goes through, it will be vacated.

Do you think that Sam Lutfi should have been awarded a settlement by Britney Spears? Tell us your thoughts below.
