Bisexual X Files Star Gillian Anderson Admits: 'I Could Be With A Woman Next Year'

X Files star Gillian Anderson has reinforced her bisexuality by claiming that she could date a woman next.

Anderson, 49, told The Times magazine in London: "I could be with a woman next year!"

The actress added that she is only 'part long-term' with partner Peter Morgan who writes The Crown.

She has been in a relationship with him since 2016 after coming out as bisexual in 2012.

Anderson revealed that she has 'absolutely no issue' with her bisexuality.

She said: "It's just who I am. I have absolutely no issue with it whatsoever, and I don't really care if other people have an issue with it."

While discussing her relationships, she said that she believes all humans are 'intersectional, complicated beings'.

She revealed: "We're all intersectional, and that is something that is only just beginning to become accepted or embraced. We're all complicated beings. That is my truth and that is my experience."

The twice-divorced star came out when the woman she had a relationship with in her younger years died from brain cancer.

She retains that she did so in order to 'honor' her in wake of her death.

Anderson – who now lives in London - was married twice before and has three children with her former husbands.

Her first husband was Clyde Klotz, who she was married to from 1994 to 1997 and then to Julian Ozanne from 2004 to 2006.

She returns in the forthcoming new season of The X Files as iconic character Dana Scully, which is understood will be the last time she will play the part.

Speaking about her relationship with co star David Duchovny, Agent Mulder, she said: "We get along well but there is no intimacy in our daily communication, we don't see each other and our kids have never met.
