‘It’s Déjà Vu’ Mother Held Captive In The Same Town As Turpin Family Reveals Abuse

A mother who was held captive for six months by her partner reveals she feels “déjà vu all over again” after hearing Turpin family story.

As RadarOnline.com has learned from a report, Laura Cowan said she was tortured, starved and beaten by her boyfriend Mansa Musa Muhummed and her two kids in 2008. She stated that the attacker also had two wives and thirteen children – all whom he held captive in his basement.

“It's similar to my own story: 13 children being held captive like that, in the same location in Perris, and also the same sheriff's department that rescued us, rescued them,” Cowan, 60, told Fox 8 after hearing the news of the Turpin family.

“He took me and my children and he locked us up in a garage for over six months,” she added.

Cowan and the kids previously appeared on Dr. Phil to talk about the abuse. The mother said that they were rescued by police after she slipped a help letter to a post office clerk.
