Last Living 'Wizard Of Oz' Munchkin Dead At 98
The Wizard Of Oz's last living munchkin has died.
As RadarOnline.com has learned from a report, actor Jerry Maren—who played a Munchkinland resident in the hit 1939 film—passed away last week inside a San Diego nursing home.
Maren was 98 at the time of his death. The star reportedly suffered from dementia, though it is unknown whether the condition played a part in his demise.
As fans know, Maren's Hollywood career took off after he starred in the cheeky musical. In 2009, he told the Independent that before he played a munchkin alongside another few dozen little people, he had never met another person like him!
