Season 15 of The Voice premieres in less than two weeks and RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned staffers are already buzzing with excitement over the following season after learning that singer John Legend will be taking over for Jennifer Hudson!
"It goes without saying that everyone is thrilled," a source in production said. "The producers are trying to make it so that Jennifer can never come back again."
"John knocked her out of the park when it came time for negotiations. He was handpicked and there is a lot of speculation that Adam and Blake were going to take a hiatus, but as of right now that is not the case."
As it stands, joining the 39-year-old "All of You" singer next season will be returning judge Kelly Clarkson, 36, Adam Levine, 39, Blake Shelton, 42 and, presumably, an unknown fifth judge, which the show has recently added to the lineup.
Although staffers are "beyond excited" to have Legend on board, the source told RadarOnline.com that they are still "dreading" the upcoming season 15.
"John is going to be like a breath of fresh air and the producers love it because they see him and Chrissy as a package deal. Everyone loves the both of them and it is going to be so much fun," the source told RadarOnline.com.
