'The Voice' Star Beverly McClellan's Mom Claims She Was A 'Fighter' Before Death
The mother of the The Voice star Beverly McClellan is breaking her silence after her daughter tragically lost her battle to cancer last week.
In an exclusive interview with RadarOnline.com, Deborah McClellan Shelton, 66, revealed that her daughter bravely fought for her life until her death at just 49 on Thursday, October 25.
"She was a fighter and she loved sharing her talent with the world," a devastated Shelton told RadarOnline.com.
Beverly was diagnosed with endometrial cancer in March.
According to her GoFundMe page, the disease had spread to her colon, bladder, and intestines.
"I'm as well as can be expected," Deborah admitted, holding back sobs. "I can only say I love her. I'm very proud her. I'm proud of her accomplishments and I'm proud of her family."
On The Voice, McClellan auditioned with a powerful rendition of “Piece of My Heart” that made both Adam Levine and Christina Aguilera turn their chairs. McClellan joined Team Christina.
