After nine years of marriage, Tamar Braxton is finally speaking her truth about her failed marriage to Vincent Herbert.
In a lengthy Instagram post, the “Love and War” singer came clean about her rocky relationship with her baby daddy, saying that together they were only hurting their family and making each other miserable.
"I told myself I would do whatever it took to keep my family together... hoping we could offer them hope, faith, Love & dignity that I once possessed,” wrote the star. “But the truth is all of those things are NOT within the marriage of Tamar & Vince... at least not anymore."
According to court documents exclusively obtained by RadarOnline.com, Tamar Braxton, 40, asked for sole custody of her son, Logan, 4, and hoped to avoid paying spousal support amid her nasty divorce from Vincent Herbert, 44.
On Instagram, the star claimed that sometimes people stay married "for face value or to say 'we did it,’” adding that despite her best efforts, she and Herbert “couldn’t be more broken & further apart than we are NOW!"

"You can say he did this, she did that, I put up with ‘this’ & I’ve suffered & endured 'this' for so long… but the TRUTH is that this was your choice 2 stay,” she continued. “We get so caught up in WE are 'winning' in love that we are LOSING a battle that doesn’t have ANYTHING 2 do with us!"
As RadarOnline.com reported, Braxton filed for divorce from her longtime love, just days before the premiere of their reality show, Tamar & Vince.
"I decided I didn’t want to be married for the sake of saying so. I wanted to have a relationship. Someone to share my/our dreams, our successes, our failures, our past, present & future with… & not finding out sh*t online," Braxton added.
As readers know, police were called to the couple’s home in 2016 after the two got into a violent “verbal dispute” that resulted in Braxton injuring her hand.
