Seth Meyers' Wife Welcomes Second Baby — In The Lobby Of Their Apartment!
April 10 2018, Updated 4:34 p.m. ET
Seth Meyers and wife Alexi Ashe welcomed their second son — in the most dramatic way possible!
On his Late Night show, the host shared the birth story with his audience, saying that he was at home with Ashe this Sunday, when suddenly she began having the baby right then and there! They called their neighbors and paramedics as they stood mid-birth in the lobby of their apartment, but were not able to make it all the way to the hospital.
"I called 911 and over the course of a minute conversation, I said, 'We're about to have a baby — we're having a baby — we had a baby," Meyers, 44, said.
The beloved host then shared a photo of his wife on the floor of their home, holding their newborn, Axel, while wearing an oxygen mask held up by a paramedic. Meyers knelt next to her and smiled at the camera.
Meyers cried on the show while telling the beautiful story, and thanked the NYFD — who arrived to cut the umbilical chord — as well as his neighbors, who gave him dry, warm towels to keep his baby safe until medical help arrived.
As RadarOnline.com readers know, Meyers and Ashe are already parents to two-year-old Ashe Olsen. They married since 2013 after meeting at a mutual friend's wedding.
