On his Late Night show, the host shared the birth story with his audience, saying that he was at home with Ashe this Sunday, when suddenly she began having the baby right then and there! "I called 911 and over the course of a minute conversation, I said, 'We're about to have a baby — we're having a baby — we had a baby," Meyers, 44, said.

The beloved host then shared a photo of his wife on the floor of their home, holding their newborn, Axel, while wearing an oxygen mask held up by a paramedic. Meyers knelt next to her and smiled at the camera.

Meyers cried on the show while telling the beautiful story, and thanked the NYFD — who arrived to cut the umbilical chord — as well as his neighbors, who gave him dry, warm towels to keep his baby safe until medical help arrived.
