Sean Penn’s Troubled Son Hopper Pleads No Contest After Drug Arrest
Sean Penn's son Hopper and his girlfriend, Uma Von Wittkamp, have pled no contest after their recent drug arrest, RadarOnline.com has learned.
While the two were initially charged with felony drug possession, they’ve pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge of attempt of a felony and have now been ordered to pay a $1,000 fine, according to reports.
As RadarOnline.com readers know, Hopper Penn, 24, and his girlfriend were stopped and searched at a traffic stop in Nebraska on April 4. They were arrested after cops found four amphetamine pills, three grams of psychedelic mushrooms and 14 grams of marijuana in their possession.
Hopper was charged only for the mushrooms and weed, while Uma, 26, was charged with possession of amphetamines.
Sean Penn’s beloved son has previously spoken of his battles with drug abuse. After he suffered a brutal skateboarding accident in 2010 following his parents’ divorce, he fell into a horrific crystal meth addiction. He once told reporters that he would have died if his famous father hadn’t persuaded him into rehab and supported him through his low point.
After his drug arrest, however, Sean ordered Hopper to go back to rehab!
“Hopper looks up to his father a lot and he was doing really well after his latest stint in rehab, but he recently fell in with the wrong crowd in L.A. and he picked up right where he left off in his addiction,” a source told RadarOnline.com this April.
Unfortunately for Sean, son Hopper is not the only wild card in the family. His model daughter Dylan, 27, went to rehab after being arrested for DUI, RadarOnline.com exclusively reported earlier this year.
