Roger Ailes has been involved in a 45 year cover up! NYPD documents exclusively obtained by RadarOnline.com reveal the late media mogul was arrested for possession of a weapon.
On November 10, 1974, Ailes was handcuffed and charged for carrying a bomb/firearm silencer — a class D felony in the state of New York.
He pleaded guilty and was charged with a fourth degree class A misdemeanor.
Ailes was released on a "conditional discharge" — whereby the court agreed they wouldn't sentence him to time in prison unless a further offense is committed within a certain period.
"A review of the records of at New York City Police Department in New York, New York, revealed an arrest record identical to Mr. Ailes by date of birth and social security number," according to FBI documents obtained by Radar.
As readers know, the 77-year-old died in his Palm Beach, Florida home in May 2017.
In June 2016, Ailes became the subject of many sexual harassment claims from current and former female employees, including Gretchen Carlson, who slapped him with a lawsuit. The case was later settled for a reported $20 million.
He was forced to resign his longtime role as chairman of Fox News.
