So Sweet! RHONJ's Dolores Catania Saves Baby Bat On Way To Plastic Surgery Appointment

Real Housewives of New Jersey star Dolores Catania — also a known animal lover — delayed a doctor's appointment when she spotted an injured baby bat lying in the streets of Manhattan, unable to move, RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned.

Dolores, 48, was headed for a visit with Cosmetic Surgeon Dr. Jason Emer when she spotted the injured creature. The medic normally works in Los Angeles, but to accommodate East Coast demand, he was hosting an exclusive 3-day pop up for his VIP clients.

A heartbreaking video shows the bat lying motionless on the corner of east 56th street. When Dolores sees it, she is immediately concerned, but reassured when her friend sees the small mammal move.

"Oh, yes, ok," Dolores exclaims in relief. "Good! Good … It's really alive! Ok, great."

The reality star, who has been known to tweet about animal rescues and adoptions, helped move the bat out of the wet street and onto the sidewalk when, according to sources, NYC Animal Control refused to send help.

"Upon arrival, she spotted this injured baby bat and animal control will not send someone to pick him up," a source told Radar, "And we don't know what to do!"

It's been a stressful year for Dolores, who is currently feuding with another Housewife from a completely different area code! According to US Weekly, Dolores has major beef with Real Housewife of New York star Ramona Singer.

"She's a disgusting human being," Dolores told Us Weekly after Ramona insulted her ex-husband, Frank Catania, on an episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen. "I don't want to know her. I never want to be in her company. She is not for me, disgusting human being… She's a horrible human."
