Phaedra Parks And Kandi Burruss Fight Over Todd Tucker’s Missing Money And Their Friendship Issues
Phaedra Parks and Kandi Burruss got into a heated argument over the money drama caused by a workout video Burruss' husband, Todd Tucker, produced for Parks during part one of The Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Season 8 reunion show!
The trouble started when Andy Cohen presented Parks with a fan question, with the RHOA viewer asking why Parks expected Tucker to complete the video without his full payment when she previously wouldn’t help Shereé Whitfield with a legal matter until the RHOA vet paid her full retainer!
“First of all, as you well know, anybody that does video, it’s paid in segments,” Parks said. “How the payment was set up, obviously I paid him a chunk. Then, of course, Apollo Nida would go to jail. And it was like the project had been abandoned. If Todd had an issue with it, the deal was always, ‘You’ll get your money when you turn in the final video.’ That’s normal in this type of business. And at this point, I’ve tried to make amends. He has been paid all his money.”
Cohen went on to question Parks’ claim about paying for the video in full, seeing that Tucker said during the RHOA finale that she still owed him some money for the video.
But Burruss quickly added her knowledge on the situation, informing her castmates that the two had recently just wrapped up the dramatic situation.
“They just finished their business last week,” Burruss said.
“That’s convenient,” Kenya Moore commented, to which Parks replied, “Whatever, honey. He has been paid all his money. All the checks have went through. And I still don’t have a video that I can commercially release.”
The chat then turned to Burruss’ team and if she felt they added themselves into too much of her personal drama with her castmates. But Burruss had no issue standing up for DonJuan Clark and Carmon Cambrice — who became known as the Kandi Coated Clique during Season 8!
“My team goes hard for me and I go hard for them,” Burruss said.
However, Parks had her own issues with Burruss’ statements. “But here’s the thing with DonJuan, I would never let my employees talk about any of my friends. That’s just unprofessional,” she said.

“Well the thing about it is that DonJuan and Carmon, they’ve been my friends forever,” Burrus replied.
“It’s all a clique,” Porsha Williams chimed in, sparking Burruss to agree by saying, “Yeah, we are cliqued up. So that’s why he was trying to take up for me.”
“He just wanted camera time,” Williams then added.
“Oh no, mam,” Burruss bit back.
“We were having a conversation. And it didn’t escalate until he made it personal,” Williams said as they discussed a fight that occurred between Clark, Parks and Williams at a RHOA event. She added, “He busted in, sweating and all, and then all of a sudden it turned to, ‘Oh my man had left me.’ And I told him that his man had left him. And then it just went below the belt for just no reason at all. And that’s why I felt like it’s like a Kandi Coated Gang. He was doing a lot at that time.”
“If you’re talking about my husband and you’re saying different things about what he did with the video and trying to make it seem like he did something wrong, then you’re downing my man business wise,” Burruss then said.
But Parks had her own thoughts on Burruss’ comment! “At the same time, Todd was sitting there talking about me to Peter, so it’s like you can’t have it both ways,” Parks added. “He can’t sit there and talk about me to everybody and run around town, ‘Oh, she didn’t do this. I hope I get my check.’ All this old mess. But then you don’t want for nobody else to discuss him.”
“You can discuss it if it’s true,” Burruss retorted. “But if it ain’t true, that’s when you can’t discuss it. Don’t put a wrong impression on someone!”
Burruss then added that at the time of the argument with Clark, Parks “had not paid Todd his $30,000, so don’t go and let have and it not be true. If I go in and let have, it’s gonna be true!”
The ladies ultimately moved on from the talk about the money drama, with Burruss admitting that the matter had finally been settled. But the two did reveal that they still had some serious issues in their damaged friendship as a result of Tucker and Parks’ fallout.
During the rest of the reunion show, Moore and Kim Fields once again butted heads over their Season 8 feud. Cynthia Bailey addressed her problems with Moore’s actions regarding her eyewear commercial. And Williams and Moore had an ugly argument over Williams’ physical altercation with Bailey during Season 8!
