Adults-Only! Inside Keith & Nicole's Steamy Bonding Sessions To Keep Marriage Spicy
Only a few weeks after their 12th wedding anniversary, Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban could still compete with any celeb duo for Hollywood’s Most Adorably in Love Couple.
But while their relationship has an undeniable spark, the pair are the first to admit that they don’t coast through their marriage. “We just work at it,” Keith has said of their long-lasting relationship. “It’s beautiful work.” Now RadarOnline.com insiders spill the exclusive details of the famous pair’s tried-and-true secrets for staying connected and recharged — and scoring some much-deserved alone time.
Keith, 50, and Nicole, 51, often gush about their intense connection and their dedication to maintaining it. Despite their grueling work and travel schedules, they’ve said they refuse to spend more than three days apart, insist on writing each other old-school love letters rather than impersonal emails or texts and, as Nicole succinctly put it, constantly “lavish each other with love.”
But according to an insider, the Oscar-winning actress has even more tricks up her sleeve. When she isn’t glamming up for a red carpet or spending quality time with their daughters, Sunday, 9, and Faith, 7, she steals her hubby away for private pampering sessions at Nashville’s Escape Day Spa and Salon.
“Nicole does everything she can to keep the romance alive and ensure her marriage doesn’t fall into a rut,” explains the source. “She’s realized that breaking up their day-to-day routine and carving out some quiet, adults-only time helps them relax and reconnect as a couple.”
And it seems that Keith wholeheartedly approves of his wife’s planning skills. In 2016, the singer stressed that continuing to date was key to making their relationship work. “Keep dating your wife — that’s it,” he said of the trick to a happy marriage.

Tami Sprintz-Hall, Nicole’s regular facialist at Escape Day Spa, says that the Big Little Lies star and her hubby are “very down to earth” and suggests that the way they’ve integrated the city’s wellness offerings into their everyday lives “shows that they really do love Nashville.”
When it comes to unwinding, the pair are known to indulge from time to time. A staff member tells OK! they often drop $300 on a luxurious 90-minute couples’ massage and 25-minute hydrotherapy soak — a routine that the spa bills as “a great way to spend some time together.” It’s no wonder they always look so radiantly happy!
The duo are also frequently spotted scouring Nashville for a wellness fix: According to Jill Lopez, assistant Whole Body team leader at a local Whole Foods store, Nicole recently stocked up on vitamin D and Dr. Hauschka “old-school holistic skincare creams.” Adds Lopez, “Nicole comes here to shop while Keith watches the kids — it warms my heart to see what a good dad he is.”
While many women may reserve these types of activities for their girlfriends, Nicole says the importance of friendship extends to her spouse. “That’s what Keith and I have as well,” she says. “As much as we have a love, we also have an incredible friendship and trust.”
And rather than get all gussied up for fancy dinners and parties, Nicole says that they are most attracted to each other off-duty. “He always prefers a natural me — he’s like, ‘Come on, take the makeup off!’ ” Guess all that pampering pays off!
