Neil Patrick Harris Promises To Be Like P.T. Barnum In Hosting The Emmys

Neil Patrick Harris is hosting the Emmys on Sunday night.
But the How I Met Your Mother star told ET Online the host gig for the venerable TV awards show is no easy task, as he has to be part P.T. Barnum and part magician--but get out of the way at the same time!
"Awards shows are just interesting as a host because you have to be both entertaining and very self-effacing. The whole point of awards shows is to listen to other people get awards. So your job is really interesting because you want to welcome everybody, include them, kind of impress them, and then sort of vanish," Harris said.
