Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino will be home for the holidays. The Jersey Shore star doesn’t have to report to prison for tax evasion until January 2019. RadarOnline.com can reveal exclusive details on Sorrentino’s latest legal drama.
In court papers obtained from U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, an order extending time for voluntary surrender was filed on October 22, 2018.
“The defendant shall surrender to the custody of Bureau of Prisons no earlier than January 15, 2019 or as soon thereafter as the Bureau of Prisons shall designate,” the court papers read. “It is further ordered that Defendant shall surrender to the custody of the Bureau of Prisons at a location to be designated by the Bureau of Prisons.”
Sorrentino, 36, was sentenced to 8 months in prison on tax evasion charges on October 5.
RadarOnline.com can exclusively reveal Sorrentino’s brother Marc, who was sentenced to two years in prison, must also surrender on January 15, 2019.
A rep for Sorrentino did not respond to RadarOnline.com’s request for comment.
The surrender date works perfectly for Sorrentino, as he is marrying fiancée Lauren Pesce in early November, RadarOnline.com exclusively reported.
