Megyn Kelly Could Make Fox News Return As Early As Next Week
Disgraced Megyn Kelly wants to return to Fox News as early as next week but NBC is fighting back after firing her for blackface comments, RadarOnline.com exclusively learned.
“Megyn is chomping at the bit to tell her side of the story,” an insider close to the disgraced TODAY Show host told RadarOnline.com.
Kelly is trying to return to her roots. “She has told Fox News she’d like to be a guest on election night next week and she will do it for free,” the source revealed.
With election night looming on November 6, her current network balked at the request.
“NBC has said no,” the source told RadarOnline.com.
“Megyn wants a full contract payout of her $75 million and NBC is playing hardball because she wants all of her money and doesn’t want a non-compete clause either.”
After spending less than two years with NBC before appearing on air on October 24 for the last time, Kelly had a plan to stage a comeback.
“She wants a platform to tell her side of the story in context and she hasn’t been allowed by NBC,” the source told RadarOnline.com.
“Her lawyer has argued that an appearance on Fox for election night would be a PR appearance because she wouldn’t get paid. But NBC won’t let her because it’s a competing network.”
Kelly’s huge paycheck was at the center of her exit negotiations.
“NBC argues they don’t owe her all the money and even if they did, she would be locked into a non-compete for a year. And NBC won’t let her do interviews right now because it would be a breach of contract.”
