Megyn Kelly's time is up at NBC's TODAY show. According to NBC, the controversial star will not be returning to the morning hour following her bizarre blackface comment.
"Megyn Kelly Today is not returning," an NBC News spokesperson confirmed. "Next week, the 9 a.m. hour will be hosted by other TODAY co-anchors."
Kelly, 47, did not make many friends at the network since her transfer from Fox News, and her sudden exit comes days after RadarOnline.com exclusively reported she was being ousted from the show.
A source told RadarOnline.com that Al Roker — who previously held Kelly's position — was "disgusted" with her remark about defending blackface on Halloween, and made it clear he wanted her fired. Now, he will likely take back his role as TODAY host, possibly with Jenna Bush Hager.
After her seemingly-forced apology, Kelly hasn't spoken of the incident, but sources say she is already in talks with other networks. Plus she demanded NBC give her a massive payout.
"She feels NBC abandoned her, and she's owed her contract," a source told RadarOnline.com.
