Nick's Brother Defends Mariah Against Claims Of Delusional Behavior: 'She's Not Crazy!'

Nick Cannon's brother is in Mariah Carey's corner!

After shocking accusations surfaced today alleging Carey suffered a delusional breakdown that led to a hospitalization in 2016, her former brother-in-law Reuben Cannon told RadarOnline.com exclusively, "Mariah is not crazy!"

"I've known Mariah for so long, and she is the mother of my niece and nephew. She is a great mother and she is a great person," insisted Reuben, who is forging his own career in music.

"Mariah helped me get my start and she was one of the first people to give me a chance when no one else would. And it is not because she was married to my brother," the rapper's younger brother continued.

Carey publicly announced last week that she was diagnosed with bipolar disorder, only to be faced with a potential  lawsuit brought against her by former manager Stella Bulochnikov, who claims the 48-year-old diva is mentally unstable and sexually harassed her.

"Stella is clearly trying to take advantage of Mariah right now because she came out and admitted to being bipolar, and that is so messed up," Reuben told RadarOnline.com.

A rep for Mariah responded to the ex-manager's claims, saying, "If this frivolous and baseless claim is filed, we will defend against it vigorously and successfully."

Additional details have surfaced this week about the pop singer's condition. The Blast reported Carey was once hospitalized after thinking Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston and Prince were coming to her house for dinner.

The incident allegedly may become a part of her legal battle between the diva and Bulochnikov.

Ultimately, Reuben believes his former sister-in-law was brave for telling her truth.

"It took a lot of courage for Mariah to reveal what she did to her fans and Stella is trying to use that against her for her own gain," he added.
