Mariah Carey was in no mood to celebrate her 43rd birthday on Wednesday night’s edition of American Idol, as the aging diva seemed uncomfortable with the attention she got for turning another year older.

When singer Kree Harrison wished her a happy birthday -- getting a small wave of cheers from the crowd in doing so -- Mariah ignored the well wishes and kept on with her appraisal of Kree's performance.

In another instance, host Ryan Seacrest wished a happy birthday to the "One Sweet Day" singer (who was clad in a sexy red dress), though she didn't acknowledge it.

Mariah, who's mom to twins Moroccan and Monroe with hubby Nick Cannon, was only 20 when she burst on the scene in 1990 with her hit single Vision of Love.

She subsequently ascended to superstardom for her talents, as well as her high-profile relationship with music mogul Tommy Mottola.
