Magic Kingdom Grants Wish To Dying Dad
Dreams come true at Disney World — even if you're wishing for a kidney donor!
When 60-year-old Robert Leibowitz, of New Jersey, wore a T-shirt to the famed Florida theme park in September that read, "In Need Of Kidney," he hoped Mickey Mouse would work his magic.
Amazingly, he was in luck!
A stranger, Rocio Sandoval, snapped a photo of Robert and posted it to Facebook — where it went viral!
Just months after the post, Leibowitz — who has been in need of a new kidney for three years after suffering from chronic kidney disease — found a match in Richie Sully, of Indiana.
"A friend sent me a link that said, 'This guy needs a kidney,' " Richie said. "I saw this as just another way to help someone out."
"I was in disbelief," Leibowitz gushed. "I was so happy."
Leibowitz, a single dad, is on dialysis three times a week until his transplant surgery takes place.
"I am excited to do it so he doesn't have to be on dialysis," said Leibowitz's selfless savior. "It's about doing more when you can."
