Madonna Celebrates 60th Birthday With Wild Moroccan Bash
Madonna turns 60 today—and she wants everyone to know it!
This Wednesday, the “Like A Virgin” singer posted a series of Instagram selfies from her wild party in Marrakech, Morocco, days after RadarOnline.com reported the music icon would be celebrating her birthday with a lavish bash!
This July, a source told RadarOnline.com that the singer was keeping all her party guests in suspense, and was refusing to reveal the location of her destination bash.
“Each guest’s invite will have specific instructions on attire,” revealed the source.
“Madonna is planning to gift the one partygoer with the most creative and thrilling costume a very expensive trip,” rumored to be an African getaway at one of the continent’s finest resorts, the insider added.
Now, the cat’s out of the bag: Madonna chose Marrakech!
“Almost Birthday Selfie,” Madonna captioned one of the shots of her wearing a full-on Moroccan head piece and other colorful accessories. “Celebrating Berber. Culture!”
Berbers are an ethnic group native to North Africa. They live primarily in Algeria, northern Mali, Mauritania, Morocco, northern Niger, Tunisia, Libya, and parts of western Egypt.

Fans know the mother-of-six has always had a fascination for the vibrant culture, and often incorporates their bold style into her fashion.
According to a local outlet, the birthday celebration isn’t over, as Madonna plans to keep the party going this August 16th at the luxurious Kasbah Tamadot resort!
