'90210' Actor Luke Perry Dies At 52, Days After Suffering Massive Stroke

Days after suffering a massive stroke, Beverly Hills, 90210 star Luke Perry has died.

The 52-year-old actor passed away this Monday, March 4, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Burbank, California.

A rep for Perry told RadarOnline.com in a statement, "Actor Luke Perry passed away today after suffering a massive stroke. He was surrounded by his children Jack and Sophie, fiancé Wendy Madison Bauer, ex-wife Minnie Sharp, mother Ann Bennett, step-father Steve Bennett, brother Tom Perry, sister Amy Coder, and other close family and friends. The family appreciates the outpouring of support and prayers that have been extended to Luke from around the world, and respectfully request privacy in this time of great mourning."

The rep also told reporters that doctors sedated Perry in hopes of letting his brain heal from the trauma of the stroke, but the damage was too severe.

His sudden death comes after RadarOnline.com reported he was rushed to the E.R. Wednesday, February 27, after receiving a 911 call from his home. Hours later, sources said he was recovering from a stroke.

After the health crisis, Perry’s neighbor told RadarOnline.com exclusively that the Hollywood actor led a healthy lifestyle, but had previously undergone surgery for his ongoing back problems.

Perry was beloved by many, and will be remembered in Hollywood for his memorable performances in hit shows 90210 and Riverdale. This Sunday, his former costar Shannen Doherty opened up about his condition, saying she was in contact with him and hoping for his speedy recovery.

“I can’t talk about it here ’cause I will literally start crying but I love him and he knows I love him,” she told ET.
