‘Not Guilty!' Harvey Weinstein’s Attorney Defends Shamed Producer Amid Rape Charges
Harvey Weinstein’s lawyer is speaking out in support of his client, moments after the NYPD confirmed his tragic fate.
As RadarOnline.com readers know, the shamed producer was “charged with rape, criminal sex act, sex abuse and sexual misconduct for incidents involving two separate women,” this Friday morning at a Manhattan Criminal Court.
“Mr. Weinstein intends to enter a plea of not guilty,” lawyer Benjamin Brafman told reporters after the court appearance. “He intends to seek quickly to dismiss these charges. They believe they are constitutionally flawed and are nonfactual and at the end of the process, Mr Weinstein will be exonerated.”
When asked how Weinstein, 66, is doing after his charges, the attorney added: “As well as can be expected when you are accused of a crime that you vehemently deny you’ve committed.”
RadarOnline.com readers know Weinstein denied that he was involved in non-consensual relations with his female victims. While he apologized for his acts after dozens of women accused him of sexual misconduct, he vehemently refuted the claims that he ever raped two of his accusers.
