Kim Kardashian ‘So Fulfilled’ After Helping Free Alice Johnson, Plans To Help Others

Kim Kardashian finally got her emotional meeting with Alice Johnson—the grandmother she helped free from prison—and it was everything she had hoped for.
In a sit-down interview with Hoda Kotb, the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star explained that she learned of Johnson’s case last year and knew that with her connections, she could make a change.
“Because I knew that I had the resources to do that. It became this mission that I just didn't want to give up,” she told Kotb, 53.
As RadarOnline.com readers know, Johnson, 63, was given a life sentence for a first-offense drug crime and money laundering. She spent 21 years in prison before Kardashian, 37, helped free her earlier this month.
The KKW Beauty mogul received much backlash over her Oval Office meeting with Donald Trump—and she wasn’t surprised! Kardashian explained to Kotb that she has no intention of ditching her career to pursue politics, but she did make an effort to free Johnson and will continue to help people in need.
“I mean, I think to some people it might seem like, ‘Okay, Kim made a phone call to the president, showed up.’ We had been in talks and working on this for seven months. And it wasn't an instant thing. It was a lot of work," Kardashian said.
"People have been asking me are you getting into politics? Like no. I'm still doing me. But I enjoy this," she added. "This has fulfilled my heart and so since I feel so fulfilled, why would I stop that?"
Johnson told the Today host that she did not know about Kardashian until she learned she was fighting for her cause. As soon as she did, she began buying every magazine she could so she could learn more about her and husband Kanye West. Till this day, she still keeps their pictures inside her bible and prays for them daily.
Johnson recalled the unreal moment Kardashian called her in prison to tell her she was free.
“When she said that, I went into full-fledged Pentecostal holy dance,” Johnson said. “I started screaming and jumping.”
On June 6, Alice Johnson was rescued from prison and reunited with her family. “This is the greatest day of my life,” she told reporters at the time, adding that Kim Kardashian will always be her “Angel.”
