“Theodore Robert Bundy was an American serial killer, kidnapper, rapist, burglar, and necrophile who assaulted and murdered numerous young women and girls during the 1970s and possibly earlier,” says crime writer Shirley Lynn Scott in the show teaser.

“Apparently, Ted Bundy likes to have sex with dead girls, perhaps because they can’t say no, perhaps because it’s an issue of control,” adds Kevin Sullivan, author of “The Bundy Murders.”

After being captured, Bundy revealed he cut off some of his victims’ heads and kept them in his apartment.

“Bundy was a sexual sadist, and he was a necrophile. And at one time, Bundy said ‘I have four heads in my roaming house in Seattle,’ when he lived in the Rogers’ roaming house,” recalls Sullivan. “He admitted to severing about half a dozen heads all together.”

Ted Bundy: Serial Monster airs Sunday, August 5 at 9:00 ET / PT on REELZ.
