Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom broke up just days ago, but RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned that Perry's ex, John Mayer, is already reaching out!

“John reached out to Katy right after he heard that she and Orlando were broken up,” a source close to Perry said. “He wanted to just make sure that she was okay.”

Today, Perry let the world know that she was more than okay, when she finally addressed her breakup with Bloom on Instagram, saying, “HOW BOUT A NEW WAY OF THINKING FOR 2017? U can still b friends & love ur former partners! No one's a victim or a villain, get a life y'all!”

As RadarOnline.com reported, she and Mayer, 39 – who is currently getting ready for another tour following the release of his latest album, “The Search For Everything” – were self-proclaimed soul mates for years prior to her fling with Bloom.

But the two finally went their separate ways amid rumors Mayer cheated in 2015. Is it time for another try?

“Everyone is convinced that Katy and John will get back together and end up together. Some of Katy's friends think she will never get over John,” the pal added.
