Authorities remain puzzled about why Kate Spade took her own life, as she did not include her reasons in the suicide note, RadarOnline.com can exclusively report.
“She didn’t say why she did it,” a police source told RadarOnline.com exclusively.
According to the Associated Press, the 55-year-old handbag guru did tell her 13-year-old daughter it was not her fault in the note.
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Spade was discovered dead in her luxury New York City apartment by her housekeeper on the morning of June 5. She had reportedly hung herself by a doorknob with a red scarf.
Police confirmed the tragic death to RadarOnline.com this morning.
“On Tuesday, June 5, at approximately 10:20 hours, police officers responded to a 911 call of an unconscious person…in the 19th precinct. Upon arrival, officers discovered a 55-year-old female unconscious and unresponsive,” the New York Police Department told RadarOnline.com in a statement.
The medical examiner removed her body from her Park Avenue apartment around 2 pm local time, RadarOnline.com can confirm.
Spade leaves her husband Andy and daughter Frances Beatrix.
