Joy-Anna Duggar surprised fans by declaring her political affiliation after voting early for the upcoming mid-term election.
The social media shocker came just two days before Joy-Anna turns 21 this Sunday, October 28.
On Friday, October 26, the Counting On wife and mom waded into a bitter political atmosphere when she posted a photo on Instagram of herself and two of her brothers in which they were smiling and holding "I voted" stickers.
"We Early voted!! #govote #republican," Joy-Anna wrote as the caption, making it clear where she stood with the hash tags.
Some fans weren't happy, with one responding, "She is giving us the middle finger!"
"Good reason to unfollow," another person fumed online about Joy-Anna's thoughts on the Nov. 6 midterms.
Another wasn't surprised, claiming, "They’re obnoxiously pro-life, they love guns, and are extremely against LGBT community."
But someone else wrote, "Didnt know yall are republican."
A supportive follower opined, "It is their choice and they have the right to it. Just because you may say something hateful, or tell them why they shouldn't be Republican."
Before doing her political post, Joy-Anna, who was a young bride and got caught up in a shotgun wedding scandal with now-husband Austin Forsyth, shared an Instagram picture of herself with her brothers at a pre-birthday lunch.
"These boys are so sweet! They took me to longhorns for a birthday date!!?? love them so much!!! #brodate #bestfriends #steakhouse," she wrote as a caption for the photo outside Longhorn Steakhouse.
Joy-Anna is holding her and Austin's baby son Gideon, who was born in February.
