Moving Fast! Josiah Duggar Whisks Away New Girlfriend On Romantic New Zealand Getaway

Josiah Duggar's on the prowl! But has he already broken a major courting rule with his new girlfriend, who he's whisked away on a romantic getaway?

Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s 21-year-old son posted a scandalous picture with Lauren Swanson, 19. In the snapshot, the two are hugging each other and posing for a selfie, a huge violation of his parents’ strict Christian dating decree, which forbids touching between two people dating.

“I’m really enjoying the beauty in New Zealand. Oh, and the landscape is pretty nice too I guess,” Duggar posted on his Instagram page, which features several photos of his teenage love interest.

Duggar and Swanson were in the country east of Australia, where they attended the Institute in Basic Life Principles conference, along with his family, who were also on the trip.

As RadarOnline.com reported, Duggar was single for two years after his ex-girlfriend, Marjorie Jackson, dumped him in the middle of his older brother Josh’s sordid sex scandal.

As shocking details about Josh’s sexually molesting five minor females, including his sisters Jill and Jess exploded in 2015, Jackson called off their courtship, ditching her boyfriend as the family’s reputation crumbled.

Duggar and Swanson seemed to be unchaperoned in their new photos, another big no-no for unmarried couples, according to the Duggars' belief system.

“We are overjoyed to begin this new phase of our lives together,” Duggar said about his courtship with Swanson. “Through the years our families’ friendship has allowed us to get to know one another as friends. I can definitely say I have found a great friend… even better than I could have hoped for or imagined.”

Duggar also explained why he liked his teen girlfriend, saying: “I so appreciate Lauren’s Christlike character and tender heart toward others. She brings sunshine into the room and encourages everyone around her. It’s always stood out to me that in every situation, she looks for the one who appears to be sad or lonely and quickly can brighten their day by sharing words of hope, an encouraging scripture, a prayer or even a simple smile with them.”
